Dr Thomas Nel – MBChB, CCFP, PDD, PGCert – Cosmetic Medicine
- Dr Thomas Nel was educated at Stellenbosch Medical School, and qualified in 1984
- In 1993, Dr Nel relocated with his family to the U.K. Through access to European training facilities and centres of excellence he gained an accreditation from the University of Charloi, Belgium, for Anti-Aging and Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy.
- His general practice included extensive experience in the anti-aging, or functional medicine arena with special emphasis on Well Men and Well Woman health management. This combined perfectly with the emerging aesthetic medical industry where he practiced in the exclusive Harley Street area of West London. He continued ongoing training and qualification throughout the UK and Europe in all aspects of the developing trend of Aesthetic Medicine, including neurotoxin Injections, fillers as well as a variety of invasive and non-invasive treatments, and was awarded a Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine. through the University of Leicester Medical School in the UK and in 2012.
- Dr Nel relocated to Canada in 2015. As a Family Practitioner in Dawson Creek, then Chilliwack, BC, where he established Zenith Family Practice, he continued to diversify and extend his experience in hospital and general practice and gained his CCFP in 2021
- He relocated to Calgary, Alberta in 2022, and now practices at Healthplus Medical Clinic in Midnapore, Calgary,AB.
- In addition to his Family Practice, Dr Nel offers men’s and woman’s regenerative health options including bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, unique pain control approaches and other integrated health care options.
