• Dr Tariq Khan is a Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience in adult and old age psychiatry across the UK and Canada. He completed his medical foundation and specialty training in the UK and developed expertise in neuropsychiatry, dementia, general adult and adult ADHD.
• Before moving to Canada from the UK, he worked as a consultant psychiatrist across NHS, independent sector and Her Majesty’s Prison Services, and served as Medical Lead for inpatient psychiatric services and postgraduate education tutor for psychiatry residents, receiving a LCEA – Clinical Excellence Award.
• In Canada, he was faculty and Staff Psychiatrist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Toronto (CAMH) within the Concurrent Disorders Programme, and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto, where he established a pioneering service for concurrent ADHD in adults.
• Dr Khan is an Expert Reference Group member for the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ UK International Diploma, and his work has been published in the College’s faculty newsletters. He now brings his expertise to Health Plus Medical in Calgary, where he provides compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care.
