• I am a South African–qualified Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases Specialist with comprehensive training and extensive clinical experience in complex adult medical care. I hold a Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, a Fellowship in Internal Medicine from the College of Physicians of South Africa, and a Subspecialty Fellowship in Infectious Diseases from the Colleges of Physicians of South Africa.
• In addition, I have obtained a Diploma in Primary Emergency Care and a Diploma in HIV Management, both through the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa. I also hold a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the University of Sheffield, further strengthening my expertise in global and travel-related infectious diseases.
• I completed my specialist training at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, home to the busiest Internal Medicine department in South Africa and one of the largest hospitals in the world. Training in this high-volume, resource-constrained environment provided unparalleled exposure to complex pathology and shaped my ability to manage critically ill and medically intricate patients with precision and confidence.
• My clinical focus includes extensive experience in HIV and tuberculosis medicine, with special interests in infective endocarditis, viral hepatitis, and parasitology. I am particularly drawn to the diagnostic challenges within infectious diseases, where attention to detail and clinical curiosity are essential in delivering accurate, timely, and compassionate care.
• Beyond clinical practice, I am a committed academic and researcher, having presented my work on international platforms. I am deeply invested in medical education and have contributed to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the University of the Witwatersrand, mentoring the next generation of physicians.
